Samsung makes the Galaxy Pro line of tablets official

Samsng Galaxy PRO

Galaxy Tab Pro coming in three sizes, Galaxy Note Pro beefs up to 12.2-inches

Android Central @ CES

We all knew they were coming, and Samsung themselves let it slip (accidentally, we're sure) last night, but now the Galaxy Pro line of Samsung tablets is official.

The Pro means high-end, and all the versions have the latest specs and design. The Galaxy Tab Pro comes in three sizes — 8.4-inches, 10.1-inches and 12.2-inches and each will sport an octa-core CPU for Wifi-only models or a Snapdragon quad-core (we're assuming the S800) for LTE models. Wifi models will come standard with 2GB of RAM, and since cellular radios reserve so much RAM nowadays, the LTE models will come with 3GB of RAM. The 8.4 and 10.1-inch models come with either 16 or 32GB of storage, and the 12.2-inch model comes in a 32 or 64GB flavor.

The Galaxy Note Pro is a 12.2-inch beast, with the same processor and RAM configuration as the Tab Pro line. Of course, The S Pen and it's software is the defining factor between it and the PRO.

All four devices will sport a 2560x1600-resolution LCD display, which to our eyes looks absolutely gorgeous.

The software has gotten a visible and needed refresh, and besides the new look and feel of TouchWiz and it's supporting features like Multi-window, Samsung is bundling what they call a "content gift package" filled with bonuses and paid content from the likes of popular apps like Evernote, Dropbox, Cisco and Bitcasa.

See the full press release after the break for all the details, and be sure to have a look at the hands-on to get a good look!
